Collaborating on innovation (EIP) digitalization and robotization

The EIP digitalization and robotization call focusses on innovative development projects. With over €10 million available, these projects are aimed at advancing digitalization and robotization in agriculture and horticulture.

For example, a project focusing on the (further) development or implementation of agricultural robots. Or a project focusing on the digital prerequisites required for this. Consider algorithm development, cybersecurity, and data ownership.

Who can apply?

A partnership must be formed. The partnership consists of at least one farmer and one or more other participants, such as a farmer, technology developer, knowledge institution, or supply chain or industry organization.

Scope

You can receive a grant for projects focusing on digitalization in agriculture and horticulture. Digitalization is farmers’ better use of technology and data. It involves collecting, sharing, and using data. Digitalization supports farmers in decision-making, contributing to quality, efficiency, and sustainability.

Examples of digitalization

• A digital environment where farmers, suppliers, business advisors and other companies can share information.
• Artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics software that makes predictions and advises on business operations.
• Software that ensures that different ICT systems and equipment work together.
• Systems that ensure data can be shared and stored, safeguarding cybersecurity and privacy.
• Sensors that measure the development of animals and plants.
